Botanical Name: Uncaria Tomentosa. Common Name: Cat’s claw, Uña de gato, Uncaria. INCI: Uncaria Tomentosa Bark Oil. Extraction Method: Steam Distilled. Odor: Herbaceous fresh with citrus undertone, clean, relaxing, grass fresh, a little minty. Country of Origin: United States. Blends: Arnica, Calendula, Mentha Piperita, Frankincense, Sandalwood, Manuka, Tea Tree, Vetiver. This very rare to find essential oil, is a small batch artisan distillation made from the bark of the Uncaria Tomentosa. Uncaria tomentosa, popularly called cat’s claw, is a climbing, woody-looking plant of the Rubiaceae family native to the jungles of South America, where for almost 2,000 years it has been used for medicinal purposes. Relieves the pain of rheumatoid arthritis or osteoarthritis, and has diuretic properties. Very useful to add to ointments and creams.
