Uncaria tomentosa, popularly called cat’s claw, is a climbing, woody-looking plant of the Rubiaceae family native to the jungles of South America, where for almost 2,000 years it has been used for medicinal purposes. Relieves the pain of rheumatoid arthritis or osteoarthritis, and has diuretic properties. Very useful to add to ointments and creams.
