What you get: This colloidal silver generator uses AC, constant current, and magnetic stirring. The process is automatic and electronically controlled. Just start it and forget it until done. It is comparable to others which cost much more. This sale includes the base, which contains the actual electronics and stirring motor, power adapter with an American style plug, a plastic lid with the electrodes, the only metal inside the jar is the silver electrodes, that’s why I don’t use speaker wire clips as others do. A canning jar, a stirring magnet, a magnet with a handle to take out the stirring magnet when done, a container for these magnets, and a user’s manual. If you are ordering from a place where the voltage is higher than 120 VAC, add a message and let me know, so I can make sure you get a power adapter that will work with 220 volts. You may still need an adapter to fit between the American style plug and your outlet. This machine is normally powered by an AC adapter. The product is just the silver from the electrodes, and distilled water you need to put in the jar, that’s it, no other substances need be added. It stirs the batch constantly while doing the electrolysis process, and usually runs overnight, using a pint jar. One thing I need to make clear here, if you make colloidal silver by first making ionic silver, and then doing any kind of post processing, such as adding a reducing agent, or heating, this is not your machine. The ionic portion of the product is not enough to be useful this way. The same is true if you are looking for readings higher than a few PPM on a TDS meter. There is not enough ionic silver to produce a high reading, and the TDS meter does not read neutral particles. If you do these things, you need something which produces a lot of ionic silver, such as “Life Force”, or even a handful of alligator clips and 9 volt batteries, if you want to do it on a really tight budget. It can be done this way, it just takes a lot more work. It is possible to run this machine on batteries, but the stirring motor would run them down in just a few batches. It is highly recommended to use rechargeable nickel hydride cells because of this. A 5 volt unit will need 4 of these in series, and a 7 to 18 volt unit will need 6 cells, or 2 lithium cells such as 18650 type. The LED will blink red if the battery gets too low. In that case, recharge them and then continue with the batch. It can work with any jar size up to a quart. Larger jars take more time to process. My colloidal silver generators are the product of nearly a year of research and development, trying several different methods of making colloidal silver through electrolysis. What I settled on was a system that uses low frequency (millihertz) AC and constant current. Polarity reverses automatically every few minutes, and the frequency increases with time. This uses the electrodes more efficiently and there is far less sediment on the bottom when it’s done. Current is around 370 microamps, and the unit typically runs overnight. Low currents and long processing times are believed to produce the smallest particles. Voltage starts at over 30V and the unit automatically turns off when it reaches 12V. That seems to be the best way to make a good batch of colloidal silver without producing a lot of large particles or sediment. The product is clear, and has no color. Any machine I produce and sell will probably do it this way unless I find something even better. There is now a new photo for this product, comparing a CS generator of a very well known and successful make to mine. The generator on the left of the photo is theirs, and the one on the right is mine. The photo shows what is actually on the inside. Both of these devices are normally powered by power adapters, but can also be powered by batteries. For the one on the left, install three 9v batteries inside, and connect to the plugs. For mine, you need a battery holder and 4 or 6 nickel hydride AA cells, depending on which type of machine it is. If so, economy of scale may allow me to sell mine for the same price. The electrodes last a long time, years in normal use, and are easily replaced with. 999 fine silver bezel. This is what the original electrodes are, at least 99.9 percent silver. Replace them with the same, or 99.99 if you can find it. Don’t use sterling or coins, They are nowhere near pure enough. Round electrodes will work, but they cost more. It takes number 8 or 9 wire size to have nearly the same surface area. Because this machine delivers AC to the electrodes, they wear slowly and evenly. There is very little waste, compared to a DC machine. You will notice little or no sediment on the bottom. The yucky brown stuff that falls off electrodes in a DC machine is not there at all. At 4 inches in length, two feet will make 3 sets, and there are several vendors. They were great, but rents around here have skyrocketed, and they could no longer pay. All of the machines I have made so far have proven to be reliable under testing. I have a friend who is still using the first one I built for him with no problems at all, and he’s even using the same pair of electrodes. There have been a lot of refinements in the design since then. This machine is very easy to use, basically, you just start it, and forget it until it’s done. No shaking or stirring is needed because the built in stirring system takes care of that. I have a video that shows how to use it on Youtube. Go there, look up “daveharpe” and look for it on the page. The video shows a blue LED, but there is now a multi color LED that gives you more information about the process. The following is some added notes about PPM and particle size. I have found a reasonably good way to measure PPM, including neutral particles, and that’s detailed in the last paragraph. Particle size is another matter, but the very low current and long processing time of this device is a good way to make the average size very small, there is very little visible sediment when the job is done. I may have found a good way to measure PPM, something I should have thought of much sooner, basically it’s making a batch, and measuring the weight of the electrodes before and after. Results of the First PPM Experiment: Here is the result of the first experiment I did with my colloidal silver machine, where I weighed the electrodes before and after making a batch. This was done with a stirring machine, and a pint jar containing 14 fluid ounces of distilled water. According to Wolfram Alpha, this means the water weighs 414 grams. The weight of the electrodes before the process was 17.490 carat, and afterward, it was 17.450 carat. The difference would be. 04 carat, which is 8 milligrams. Now the ratio between 414 grams and 8 milligrams is the same as one kilogram and19.3 milligrams. Since a single milligram per kilogram is one part per million, this would mean there must be something very close to 19.3 PPM of silver in the jar, mostly ionic and colloidal silver, assuming there is little or no sediment on the bottom. If you measure the same batch with a TDS meter, which can only measure the ionic part, it reads 2 PPM, that leaves 17.3 PPM in true colloid, or sediment. I have seen experiments people have shown on Youtube which indicate that both forms of silver are effective, the ionic, and the colloid. Compared to a DC process, very little sediment is visible on the bottom of the jar, if any. The scale I used for this is a jewelry scale which can measure carats down to 1/1000. Most measurement devices have an error of up to 3 counts on the last digit, there is no specification for that on this one, but hopefully its no worse than that. The second to last digit is usually reliable. Without actual lab quality equipment, I still cant say for sure what the PPM is, but its probably close to this, as long as there is not a major flaw in this experiment. If you can’t afford real lab work, this might be a passable alternative. It has given me confidence that there really is a lot more CS here than can be seen with a TDS meter, which can only measure ions, not neutral particles.
