Any classical colloidal silver generator will produce ionic silver at the same time it is producing colloids but the key difference to produce smaller particles (ions) is limited output current to be applied. The emitted particle size depends on the intensity of the electrical current while the concentration (strength) depends on the time the current is flowing between the silver electrodes. Higher currents tend to blast off larger particles from the silver therefore we have limited the current to 2mA. Low (limited) current tends to generate smaller particles, and therefore silver ions rich solutions. Why stirring the solution is important? In parallel during the process the silver concentration within the distilled water will not be equally redistributed through the volume. It will be significantly higher closer to the electrodes. To limit the concentration of the colloid at any point you need to stir the solution during the process. When preparing your solution give it a time to reach the concentration you are targeting. The batch cycles depends on the colloidal silver strength (ppm) you desire to achieve. Electrodes will darken in color at the end of each cycle. In order to produce high quality and pure colloidal/ionic silver water we strongly recommend you carefully clean the electrodes before each cycle (in 30 minutes to one hour intervals). As you can see from above table the more cycles you perform the stronger the solution will get. However the solution will achieve its saturation somewhere between 20-30ppm.
