I create custom made weighted therapy blankets. Based on you or your child’s needs. Blankets are constructed of fleece and filled with natural aquarium stones. Amount of stones used depends on the user’s weight. These blankets are machine washable and must be air-dried. You may want to consider a cover to allow longer use between washings. This blanket has not yet been sewn. 40 wide x approx. 70 long about 6 feet long… Designed to sit on top of the mattress without hanging over the sides. Custom Weighted 5-15 lbs. With non-toxic poly pellets (small plastic beads). The weight will be quilted evenly throughout the blanket in 120+ squared off segments to keep the weight from shifting to other areas. There is no Extra Lining / Padding in this blanket. 100% washer/dryer safe as long as your machines can handle the weight. Weighted blankets should be used under the guidance of a therapist. If you do not have a therapist, the usual recommended weight for a blanket is 10% of a person’s body weight plus 1 pound. The blanket user must be able to remove the blanket without assistance.
