The pale yellow is expressed from the rind and the peel of the fruit and has classically been used in perfume for its intense, sharp, citrus-fresh aroma. Lemon essential oil is used for lack of focus and feeling “blue”, wart removal, as an antiseptic and astringent as well as to help colds and acts as insect repellant. Lemon essential oil can also be used for age spots and dandruff. Mood Elevation: Vaporize 3 drops of Lemon essential oil in a vaporizer to help lift spirits. Alternatively, keep a bottle of Lemon oil on hand and inhale the aroma whenever you think the effect will be beneficial. This approach will also help disinfect the air in a closed workspace, and may increase productivity, as Japanese studies of Lemon oil have indicated. Warts: Use clean cotton swab and dab undiluted Lemon oil onto the top of each wart. Repeat up to 6 times a day until the wart drops off. If possible, cover the wart with an adhesive bandage to aid penetration of the Lemon oil. Blends well with the following essential oils. Bergamot, Lime, Orange and Mandarin. Use with caution if pregnant or breast feeding as well as for babies or small children and pets, as it can be toxic in higher doses. May cause irritation to sensitive skin, however it is rare.
