German Chamomile Essential Oil 100% Pure. Description: German Chamomile essential oil is produced by Co2 Extraction of the flowers. There are several species of Chamomile, which are characterized by their white daisy-like flowers with yellow centers, and feathery leaves. The two type of Chamomile essential oil used in aromatherapy – German and Roman Chamomile – have very different chemical compositions and different therapeutic properties. Traditionally, the dried flowers of both Chamomile species are used as herbal teas and decoctions. Typical German Chamomile that is steam distilled is blue in color. This variety has been distilled via Co2 which results in a green color. Common Uses : German Chamomile essential oil is used for inflammatory and itchy conditions, and is also applied externally for the soothing of digestive problems. It has been used as a component of wound healing blends. This oil is purifying, soothing, calming, and restorative. It has the ability to increase the production of white corpuscles, which aids healing and boosts the immune system. When used in conjunction with massage it can effectively treat gout and rheumatism. Itchy skin conditions : Add 3 drops of German Chamomile essential oil to 1 teaspoon of vegetable oil or, dilute German Chamomile essential oil 3% in Jojoba carrier oil, use 1 teaspoon of that. Massage the mixture gently into the itchy area, and reapply as needed until soothed. Insect bites and stings: This is a first-aid situation, and the most effective use of German Chamomile essential oil is to apply 1 to 2 drops undiluted directly to the bite or sting for rapid soothing. Sore eyes: Make a cup of herbal Chamomile tea with 2 teabags. When the teabags are cool, place them on your closed eyelids and relax. Blends well with the following essential oils. Geranium, Lavender, Patchouli, Rose, Benzoin, Orange Blossom, Bergamot, Marjoram, Lemon, Ylang Ylang, Jasmine, Clary Sage and Labdanum. C of A MSDS.
